Everyone's favorite gentleman, Fonzworth Bentley, host of VH1's hit reality series "From G’s to Gents," has scored with the single "Everybody" - featuring two big pop culture icons Kanye West and Andre 3000. The single is featured on his long-awaited album CoolOutrageousLoversOfUniquelyRawStyle (C.O.L.O.U.R.S.), which is set to release Spring 2009.

The “Everybody” video, which also features Kanye West and Andre 3000, was directed by newcomer Dion Watkins, a graduate of USC Film School, Masters program. Watkins wanted the theme of the video to be an ode to groups like the Temptations that were part of an era when artists took pride in their image and had a certain mystique. With tight synchronized dances and slick lyrics, the video will debut on a new and free weekly feature on the iTunes Store called "Music Video of the Week" on October 7.

Bentley, who has shown his mentoring skills with the contestants of the reality show "From G’s to Gents", is looking for 15 new G’s to take under his wing for a second season which will start taping later this year and airs at the top of 2009. Again the men will be educated in everything from Style and Grace, Etiquette, Chivalry and Business Skills. The men will LEARN that with the right tools, every G has the ability to be a true Gentleman -- and a real shot at finding success. The G that makes it to the end of the competition will win $100,000, membership into The Gentleman's Club and leave having the skills to succeed in the real world.

In 2007, Fonzworth Bentley released his first book, using the same concept as the show, Advance Your Swagger: How to Use Manners, Confidence and Style to Get Ahead. It received praise from one of Bentley’s mentors, Russell Simmons “The right book at the right time written by the right man.”

A world-famous DJ with active memberships in Dilated Peoples and Beat Junkies among his most notable accomplishments, DJ Babu has made a noteworthy evolution. The Los Angeles-based turntablist also stands as one of underground rap’s fastest-rising producers.

Waiting almost five years after the release of the previous Duck Season installments, DJ BABU has been carefully crafting the final saga in his highly acclaimed hip-hop trilogy. What started out for Babu as a DJ compilation, the Duck Season series has come full circle to become a production showcase for the legendary turntablist; not to mention, his finest work to date.

“It started out as a mixtape that featured some of my favorite tracks,” explains DJ Babu. “Now it has fully evolved into a platform of my own production. The album is still presented in the classic Beat Junkie mixtape style, but that’s just a clever way for me to disguise my LP.” Indeed, working with Dilated Peoples aided DJ Babu in his evolution as a producer. Throughout the trio’s four albums, DJ Babu was steadily gaining knowledge and insight on how to craft meaningful and memorable soundbeds. Now, he has combined his far-reaching creative abilities into one project, the rock-solid Duck Season 3.

This evolution from DJ to producer is on full display throughout DJ Babu’s sonically superior Duck Season 3. The fast-moving collection showcases all of Babu’s quickly expanding talents, from mixing, juggling, blending and scratching -- as well as producing. Entirely produced by Babu, the line-up on Duck Season 3 reads like a hip-hop’s who’s who. While Babu includes many familiar faces like M.O.P., MF DOOM, Dilated Peoples and Sean Price, he also plants his ear to the streets, recruiting some of today’s hottest new talent like Bishop Lamont and Termanology.

A West Coast veteran in his own right, Babu has achieved a sound that can’t be labeled by region or style. This album could be equally appreciated in the Bronx, Compton or anywhere in between. Duck Season 3 is a treat for all the true B-Boy’s out there and a testament to the fact that hip-hop’s golden era is alive and well and as Babu concludes the vine between the golden era and today is still deeply rooted “allot of the DJs that I looked up to became great producers, from Dr. Dre to DJ Premier to Pete Rock. In a lot of ways, I’m trying to carry that same torch, where hip-hop is still rooted within DJing and records.”

Hennessy, the number 1 selling cognac in the world, will host the star-studded Hennessy artistry finale event featuring inaugural curator Ne-Yo at the iconic Gotham Hall in New York City on Wednesday, October 15th. Leona Lewis and Fabolous will join Ne-Yo on-stage for a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration performance. Guests will experience a unique blend of music, atmosphere and energy while enjoying signature Hennessy cocktails.

Last year, the Hennessy artistry finale event was held at the treasured Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, which was transformed into an international stage for two of music’s biggest acts Fall Out Boy and Pharrell. For the first time this year, the Hennessy artistry concert series involved a curator, Ne-Yo, which illustrates Hennessy’s role as an unparalleled leader in innovative experiences. Hennessy and Ne-Yo used their distinct taste to create unique concert experiences throughout the series with both class and urban style. At Gotham Hall, Ne-Yo will oversee the guests’ experience from décor and lighting down to the servers’ attire. Ne-Yo also hand-selected the performers with whom he will share the stage.
The Hennessy artistry concert series has, for the past two years, garnered attention from a number of celebrity fans. This year’s concert series will be no different. Fans of Hennessy artistry include: Drew Barrymore, Jay-Z, Hilary Swank, David Arquette, Carmen Electra, Lance Armstrong, Ewan McGregor, Jessica Alba, Rosie Perez, Mandy Moore, Kirsten Dunst, Kevin Connelly, Kim Kardashian and Kelis.
Leona Lewis will perform songs from her debut album “Spirit,” including “Bleeding Love” and “Better in Time.” Hennessy artistry curator Ne-Yo co-wrote Lewis’ debut single “Bleeding Love” which was number one on the Billboard charts in the U.S. for over four weeks. Ne-Yo will also be joined onstage by hip-hop star Fabolous. Fabolous, whose most recent album “From Somethin' to Nothin'” debuted number one on the Billboard charts, will perform a number of his notable hits including “Can’t Deny It” and “Make Me Better.” DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Cassidy will also perform.
The invitation-only event is the culmination of the 2008 Hennessy artistry concert tour, a series of six private shows which featured musical acts such as LL Cool J, Ashanti, and Fat Joe. The series kicked off in Los Angeles on September 17th, 2008, the day after Ne-Yo’s third album “The Year of the Gentleman” was released.

“We are thrilled that Leona Lewis and Fabolous will be joining Ne-Yo for our finale event this year. Hennessy artistry is all about mixing; mixing music, cocktails and audiences together for a unique event experience,” says Andy Glaser SVP of Hennessy U.S., “This year’s Hennessy artistry finale is sure to be an event to remember.”

“Hennessy and I are a good mix. Hennessy is known for its skilled blending of tradition with trendy innovation in its drinks and in its appeal. That’s a lot like what I try to do with my music. I’m always trying to find the right balance of class and urban style,” said Ne-Yo. “To participate in the finale, with Leona Lewis and Fabolous is a vision that I’ve had since I signed on as curator.”

Ne-Yo debuted in 2006 with his album “In My Own Words,” which became a certified RIAA double-platinum album. In 2008 Ne-Yo won a Grammy for the Best Contemporary R&B Album for his second CD “Because of You.” Ne-Yo has also been recognized for his remarkable songwriting, writing songs such as Rhianna’s “Unfaithful,” Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable” and songs for Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears and Enrique Iglesias.

The event is hosted exclusively by Hennessy which boasts a long and supportive partnership with emerging and established music talent. The tour will also feature the brand’s signature cocktails: Hennessy Sidecar, Hennessy Mojito and Hennessy Ginger showcasing the cognac’s classic and modern flavor celebrating Hennessy’s art of global mixing.

Big Oomp Records / KOCH Records is set to release UNK’s highly anticipated sophomore album, Second Season. Second Season is the follow up to 2006’s Beat’n Down Yo Block, which contained the platinum smash hits, “Walk It Out,”and “2 Step,” both approaching a whopping 6 million combined digital/mobile units.

“Show Out,” the first single from Second Season was produced by DJ Montay, who also produced “Get Low,” the record breaking single from Flo-Rida featuring T-Pain. Montay also produced multi-platinum digital singles "Walk It Out" and "2 Step" for UNK, as well as Three 6 Mafia’s "I'd Rather."

“Show Out” just went for Radio Ads this week with 50 stations coming on board, and was the #1 most added at urban and rhythmic. You can listen to it by clicking on the following link: http://kochent.edgeboss.net/download/kochent/radiohits/unk_showout.mp3

A video for “Show Out” was shot in Atlanta and directed by Raging Nation Films director Dale “Rage” Resteghini (Jim Jones, The Game, Three 6 Mafia). The video will be serviced everywhere shortly.

KOCH Record’s President Bob Frank states, “UNK has delivered another great album filled with hits! We are thrilled to be partners with Big Oomp and UNK and look forward to working this project throughout 2009.”

UNK adds, “Second Season highlights the best beat makers in the country: Top Quality Productions, home of Big Oomp Records. We brought you the first album Beat’n Down Yo Block and its hits “Walk It Out” and “2 Step.” I’m back with my sophomore album Second Season.

Bleu Magazine celebrates Fall/Winter 2008 Fashions and along the way makes a statement specifying the reason why "Black Boys are Beautiful," in the forthcoming fall Fashion Issue of Bleu Magazine, available on newstands on October 7th, 2008. "Imagine if every man of color was raised to believe that he was beautiful?," asks Devon Christopher, Publisher of Bleu Magazine.

"What if when, the world and mainstream media call him ugly or an animal, that his neighbors, friends and family reminded him everyday that he is beautiful? What if when he looked in the mirror and saw a smile in the reflection every time? What if old ladies didn't cross the street when they saw him approaching them? Sometimes when you're a grown ass man it's too late to say hey, "you're beautiful". So today we take a stand and celebrate the thought of all "Black Boys are Beautiful", adds Devon.

Bleu chose 8 of the hottest male models entering the industry and or already trailblazing the runways and print pages of the US, United Kingdom, France, Italy and South Africa. These boys (young men if you must) are challenging the gun-toting, broken English, over-muscular imagery of men of color that has saturated our subconscious. So as you turn the pages take a long look at these beautiful faces. It may be the first time you see many of them, but it won't be the last.

"The Black Boys are Beautiful feature is a tribute and a reflection of the struggle black male models have faced on their long journey to being acknowledged in this fickle and superficial industry, states Antino Angel Crowley, Fashion Editor for Bleu Magazine. I hope that this issue inspires every young black male and all other ethnic backgrounds that picks it up to realize that they truly are beautiful," he adds.

There is more to the BLEU brand including, the re-launched www.TheBleuMag.com, which is the-must-log-on-to website for the latest entertainment and lifestyle news. www.TheBleuMag.com features segments in Fashion, Grooming, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Health & Fitness, News and BleuBerry (eye-candy). Another feature that BLEU offers is the daily blog "Ray's Bleu Juice", www.raysbleujuice.blogspot.com, spearheaded by Bleu Magazines West coast Editor, Ray Cunningham also known as Ray from BET's College Hill, Season III.

About BLEU Magazine
Bleu Magazine is a celebration of the urban man and his experiences, as expressed through fashion, entertainment, culture and music.

Hip Hop fans have continually watched their beloved underground producers develop into platinum-selling superstars, all the while hoping that the talent and foundation of the beatsmiths will maintain the same integrity. Unfortunately, far too many producers who grew from classic boom-bap to create mega hits do not stay in touch with the very sounds that made them fan favorites.

As the buzz for their DJ Diamond Kuts single "Salt Peppa Ketchup Hot Sauce" featuring Casino, Pumpkin and D-Wizz gains popularity, the duo of DNA Beats is determined to stick to their roots in more ways than one.

Philadelphia producers Ridd and Dnali came together years ago to form DNA Beats, and had the opportunity early on to work with people they admired like the legendary production team Gamble & Huff and Will Hunt of The Delphonics. In the past two years alone, DNA has produced for budding Philly stars with national buzz like Bump J, Peedi Peedi and Gillie Da Kid.

In 2008, they created magic with Power 99 DJ Diamond Kuts on her song "Salt Peppa Ketchup Hot Sauce," which became an instant local hit. “We’re trying to take some of the late ‘80s stuff back,” Ridd says of the track. “Our whole vision was imagining if Roxanne Shante came out with a record right now. We’re not making it more club-friendly, we’re just providing all of the elements that have worked.”

With a video on the horizon, the work with DJ Diamond Kuts has definitely given DNA Beats a leg up in their mission to bring forth a new-age sound for the region. They are developing futuristic sounds for artists like Casino (songwriter and featured vocalist on "Salt Peppa Ketchup Hot Sauce"), PFL (Playas 4 Life), Hip-Pop group DaCav5, Hip Hop artists Young Tre and Five Mics and more. Additionally, they have tracks recorded with several major label artists including Bow Wow, Lil Mama, Rocko, Flo-Rida, Tiffany Evans and more.

DNA Beats is actively working with Status Management to refresh Philly's style for the world, and add their own flair to artists' work in other regions. “We definitely want to make an impact in the industry,” explains Dnali. “We’re not trying to be the one-hit wonders - we strive to make sure we’re on top of our game. We definitely feel we’re in a position to make an impact just off of basic elements of our sound.”

For more information on DNA Beats and to hear their current hit, go to www.tygereye.net/dnabeats and www.myspace.com/dnabeats

For interviews and press information, contact dove@tygereye.net

ABOUT DNA BEATS

In the world of Hip Hop production, there is a vast sound experience that ranges from mashing up samples to pounding out original synthetic drum patterns. The producers who stand out are rarely those who rely on sampling alone – this is the day of the true artist.

Ridd and Dnali, collectively known as DNA Beats, are bringing their style of natural percussion and DJ-inspired rhythms to the forefront as they build a brilliant new soundscape for Philadelphia’s urban music scene. They have a current Mid-Atlantic hit with DJ Diamond Kuts’ “Salt Peppa Ketchup Hot Sauce” featuring Casino and Pumpkin, and a flurry of work this year with the likes of Bump J, Gillie Da Kid, Young Tre, Peedi Peedi, Five Mics and more.

Ridd and Dnali met as students in Voorhees, New Jersey’s Eastern High School. Dnali was honing his skills as a drummer in the music department, while Ridd was spending his nights DJing local parties. They had both tried producing songs individually, but it wasn’t until they met that everything made sense.

Eventually they became DNA (Digital and Analog), and had a memorable moment when they linked with Will Hart of the Delphonics to create a song. Ridd initially captured the idea for the track when AllHipHop.com CEO Grouchy Greg played him the Delphonics classic “Seventeen in Love.” Inspired, DNA made a Hip Hop sampled track, and by chance Will Hart came through Philadelphia and was able to lay original vocals on the song for them.

“Working with Will Hart was a big achievement for us, because we grew up on that,” explains Dnali. “As far as sampling, The Delphonics got some classics. The opportunity in itself to work with him on the same song, and for him to hear what we did and be thoroughly impressed was a great experience.”

DNA Beats got their first nationwide placement with Rocafella Records artist Peedi Crakk (now known as Peedi Peedi). In 2006, they worked with Peedi on his DJ Whoo Kid-hosted mixtape, Crakk Files, blessing him with the standout single “Knock Em Out the Box.” DNA Beats began working with a flurry of budding artists from Philadelphia including singer Jai-Sun, The Corner Boys and rapper/songwriter Casino.

One of their key successes has been developing the sound for Young Tre, who recently linked with Def Jam. They produced several original tracks for him on 2007’s Days of My Life mixtape with Remy Ma’s DJ BedTyme and 2008’s Shoe Box Money hosted by The Aphilliates’ DJ Infamous. As the Young Tre project has taken off, their work with Casino developed into a new song with Philly’s Power 99 on-air personality and BET Rap City regular DJ Diamond Kuts. Written by Casino and produced by DNA Beats, “Salt Peppa Ketchup Hot Sauce” quickly caught on with radio in the Mid-Atlantic region, and has been lighting up dance floors throughout the Summer of ’08.

In 2008 alone, DNA Beats has offered up two other singles with Young Tre’s “Private Room” and Bump J’s “Pretty Girls in the VIP.” The latter spawned a sought-after remix featuring Peedi Peedi and Gillie Da Kid. They also continued their mixtape success with original tracks for Five Mics on The Million Dollar Dream, hosted by The Aphilliates’ Don Cannon.

As students of the legendary production team Gamble & Huff, Dnali and Ridd plan to take the Philadelphia movement to new heights as they marry their technical foundation with their vision for the next generation. “When we make a track, we focus on a lot of things that other producers don’t,” explains Dnali. “Our main thing is our cadence on our drums, the way we actually set them up. We start out every track with our drums before we lay any instruments. Sometimes we’ll just have a whole track that’s just basically sound effects and drums - the drums gotta hit.”

“We’re trying to take some of the late ‘80s stuff back,” Ridd adds. “Our whole vision with ‘Salt Peppa Ketchup Hot Sauce’ was imagining if Roxanne Shante came out with a record right now. That’s what we’re trying to help bring back a little bit. We’re not making it more club-friendly, we’re just providing all of the elements that have worked.”

“It’s a basic simple formula,” Dnali agrees. “It’s funny how our name DNA kind of ties in with everything that we do. Look at the genetics of the way hit songs were put together from a formula that’s always going to work.”

In addition to their work with local artists, major labels have also been seeking the DNA sound. The team has done some recent work with Cherri Hyll at Interscope, a group signed to producer RedOne who created four of Akon’s Number One singles. DNA also has some developing placements with Dave Lighty’s new artists at Jive, and recently produced songs for upcoming projects with Flo-Rida, Lil Mama, Bow Wow, Rocko, Tiffany Evans, Brisco and more.

“We definitely want to make an impact in the industry,” explains Dnali. “We’re not trying to be the one-hit wonders - we strive to make sure we’re on top of our game. We definitely feel we’re in a position to make an impact just off of basic elements of our sound.”

DNA Beats knows that the business side of their work needs to be handled as effectively as the creative side, so they teamed with Status Management to take things to the next level. Their relationship with the Status team goes back a few years, as they were actually friends with CEO Kyle Piasecki before they did business together. “Our whole dream is, of course, to be big time celebrities,” says Dnali, “but we want that friendship first. Working with Kyle is great, because he’s energetic and hard-working and we’re the exact same way about our music. That’s why we’ve complemented each other so well.”

With such an outstanding line-up of songs in 2008, there is still a lot more to come for DNA Beats. While they consistently push creative boundaries in the market, their work ethic stays ahead of the curve as well. “Our plate is full right now, everyday it’s something new,” asserts Dnali. “It’s exciting, but at the same time it’s a grind.”

DNA Beats Discography
Singles
2008 – “Salt, Peppa, Ketchup and Hot Sauce” – DJ Diamond Kuts f/ Pumpkin & Casino
2008 - "Photogenic" - PFL (Playas 4 Life)
2008 – “Private Room” - Young Tre
2008 – “Pretty Girls in the VIP (remix)” – Bump J, Peedi Peedi, Gillie Da Kid
2008 – “Pretty Girls in the VIP” – Bump J
Contributions to Albums and Mixtapes
2008 - Young Tre - “Catch Me in the Hood” “This Is Why I Hustle” “Shoe Box Money” “Poppin Bands” “Chillin’ in the VIP” - DJ Infamous Shoe Box Money mixtape
2008 – Five Mics - “Fresh From the Dealer” “Lick It” “Off The Chain” - DJ Don Cannon Million Dollar Dream mixtape
2007 – Young Tre - “Every Day” “Hustling Soldiers” “Getting Money” f/ Brisco “City on Fire” “So Tired” “Not The Marriott” “We Sip” - DJ BedTyme Days of My Life mixtape
2006 – Peedi Peedi - “Knockem Out the Box” - DJ Whoo Kid Crack Files mixtape
Unreleased Projects ‘08-‘09
Bow Wow – untitled songs for upcoming album (Sony)
Brisco – “Static” "Laughing at Him" for Street Medicine album (Poe Boy/Atlantic)
Casino – "Haters Blockers" "Gangsta Don't Dance" "Wap Wap" for House Always Wins album
Cherri Hyll - "Rockit Girl" "Too Hot 4 TV" for upcoming album (Interscope)
DaCav5 – “You Baby” for Guilty Pleasure album
DJ Diamond Kuts - "Salt Peppa Ketchup Hot Sauce" "Fresh" for Her-story in the Making album
Flo-Rida - untitled songs for upcoming album (Atlantic)
Gillie Da Kid – “Say Yeah” "Back of Mind" for upcoming album (Koch)
Lil Mama – untitled songs for upcoming album (Jive)
PFL (Playas 4 Life) - "A** and Ti**ies" "Photogenic" for upcoming album
Rocko – untitled songs for upcoming album (Island/Def Jam)
Tiffany Evans - untitled songs for upcoming album (Columbia)

Atlanta, GA (2008) - The International Disc Jockey Trade Association (IDJTA) is an association of DJs, DJ Coalitions, and DJ affiliates from around the world. Formed in July 2008 as International Disc Jockey, LLC, the IDJTA serves as an advocacy group on a range of public policy and rights issues. The association is especially committed to improving the understanding of, respect, and compensation for the role of the DJ in the entertainment industry and being a powerful unified voice on behalf of DJ's interests.

Founder, Edwin "Crazy Eddie" Myles, and Co-Founder Dj Judge Mental shared a common passion for the DJ industry and have come together to help manifest a united voice for DJs and industry professionals in a power move to create a more stable and profitable industry. Additional seasoned industry professionals have been brought together as the Executive Board including Angela Nash (Up Top Enterprises, LLC), Missy B (VP Marketing, SWURV Radio), Calvin Matthews (The Industry Connect), DJ Scorpio (mixer WQKI/SwurvRadio.com), Edwina Warder (eBiz Marketing), and Jacqueline Taylor-Adams (Master Griot Publishing).

Advisory Board members serving the IDJTA include, Africa Bambataa (Zulu Nation), TJ Chapman (TJs DJs), Brian Paiz (Clear Channel Communications), Charlotte "Beach Bunny" O'Laughlin (Promotions), DJ Jazzy J, Mix Master Ice, DJ Dolla Bill (Major Movez Germany), DJ Jiji Sweet (Sweet Factory), and DJ Aaries (Hood Hard DJs).

The profession of the Disc Jockey (DJ) has grown to a level of public awareness like never before in the history of the entertainment industry. Yet, as a profession, the DJ industry has fallen short in recognition, respect, compensation, unity, and education. Also, the strategic role of the DJ in the music industry has been overlooked.

The role a DJ plays is integral to the life of the music industry. The DJ is the blood that pumps through the heart of the industry and keeps it beating. When it comes to introducing new music to the public, the DJ demonstrates versatility in this process and can play many different parts. The mixtape DJ provides street level marketing and exposure of new music directly to the consumer via promotional CDs. The mixshow DJ gives new music its first exposure to the broadcast audience. The radio "on air personality" DJ, informs the listener of new music and its creators, while the mobile DJ rocks it at clubs and parties in the local neighborhoods worldwide. The concert or "tour" DJ moves the crowd at the larger venues supporting performing artists. All of these styes of DJs introduce new music and artists to millions of potential customers. This versatility has led music labels to recognize the tremendous impact of the DJ and often times; outsource portions of a new artist's marketing budget to well-known DJs and DJ Coalitions in an effort to create a fan base the artist.

The IDJTA has launched a fully interactive website and online community that exceeds 350 members. The association has already begun securing exclusive benefits of true value for its membership including broker discounts on printing, special car rental rates with free upgrades and car rental service for members ages 21-24, corporate air travel with free business class upgrades, priority seating, refundable fares, and no additional charges on name changes and same-day, same city pair standby, plus many other benefits. Insurance brokers are also evaluating the growing membership in order to provide affordable health benefit options within the next six to nine months.

IDJTA serves to unify, educate, and elevate the DJ. The Association mission statement clearly states that it is NOT a "DJ Crew" or DJ Coalition and purposefully will not provide any competition to such entities. It is the intention of the IDJTA to form strategic alliances in an effort to provide its members with innovative outstanding programming and benefits from insurances and education to raised industry standards and creation of economic opportunities. The trade association is operated by the DJs for the DJs.
The International DJ Trade Association has arrived! It seeks the support of the general public and the involvement of the DJ community. To join and learn more about the IDJTA, visit www.idjta.com.
###

The International Disc Jockey Trade Association (IDJTA) is an association of DJs, DJ Coalitions, and DJ affiliates from around the world. Formed in 2008, the IDJTA serves as an advocacy group for the DJ industry on a range of public policy and rights issues. The association is especially committed to improving the understanding, respect, and compensation for the role of the DJ in the entertainment industryand being a powerful, unified voice on behalf of DJ's rights.
# # #
