COTA DA STREETS HEATING UP THE PHILLY HIP HOP SCENE SECURES DISTRIBUTION WITH HSM ENTERTAINMENT

Who is Cota? This is the question on the tip of everyone’s tongues. Armed with Infectious Beats, signature flow, Clever rhymes, street smarts and a motto of “Loyalty Over Everything”, Rap’s newest rising star Cota Da Streetz is leading the way of defining the voice of Hip Hop’s “Generation Next". Straight outta Atlantic City, COTA DaStreetz has been infiltrating the streets with buzz worthy singles since his appearance with Russell Simmons at the Uplift of Jamaica. A DJ favorite, COTA has released a hot new single "What the Girls Say," and secured a new situation; a deal with HSM Distribution.

DJ's across the country are jumping on this single in support of Cota and his fly guy flow and his Boss man swag. Many are looking to the young rapper to bring new life to the Philly Hip-hop scene courtesy of his clever punch lines and witty flow, "What the Girls Say" is making its way up play lists around the country. Having performed with the likes of Jadakiss and Juelz Santana to name a few, COTA stands in a league of his own amongst his admirable contemporaries. Currently in the lab with DJ Kay Slay from New York's Hot 97, Cota is preparing his upcoming mixtape tentatively titled "Green Bricks" set to penetrate the streets in the coming weeks.

At one point, the wordsmith had focused on his love of sports and pursued a career in football. Around his second year in high school, he began to experiment with music. Over the adolescent years his love for music quickly became his number one passion. "The more I got into music the music it just took me over," he explains. "I always wanted to be an icon and someone for people to look up to." He quickly became Cota da Streetz, short for Code of the streets which is a code as a means of survival on the streets.

Already amassing an impressive hip-hop resume including work with GDK, LUX, Andrew (POP) Wansel, Paysouls and more, Cota is preparing to go on tour as well as to shoot his first video from the album and will hold casting calls in major cities to find his leading lady.
