The GRITS Interview

How can one still be considered underground or unknown when one is a Grammy-nominated Hip-Hop group and is releasing one’s eighth album? Well, when your group’s name is GRITS, it’s conceivable! Owners of their own label (Revolution Art) and identity, this Nashville, Tennessee group are still approaching the game as they did when they first entered, with the same enthusiasm, yet growth expected from Hip Hop veterans.  Teron “Bonafide” Carter and Stacy “Coffee” Jones make up the components of GRITS and the only thing stopping them is them!

As we know with this economy and with the way this industry is nowadays, the entrepreneurs have their sights set on a number of ventures that is sure to get them closer to their long term goals.  I got the chance to sit down with the group during one NYC swing and for your enjoyment; the audio of that conversation is posted below.
