THE ANNUAL URBAN NETWORK ENTERTAINMENT-MARKETING SUMMIT CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY IN HOUSTON
The Urban Network continues its long legacy of Music-Entertainment & Marketing Conferences in Houston, Texas, September 24-27, 2008 at the Hilton Americas Hotel & George R. Brown Convention Center. The publication, an industry leader in dispensing music and entertainment information, will present a momumental conference bringing in consumers, music enthusiasts and professionals from the entertainment industry. The continuation of the Summit will expand upon the notable groundwork that was laid in the previous Urban Network Conference in Newport Beach, California earlier this year.
There is an exceptional number of top music industry professionals already signed on to participate, including Kevin Black/Office of the Chairman at Warner Bros. The Indie Music Festival, held on Saturday afternoon, September 27th, will be headlined by Slim Thug & the Boss Hogg Outlaws and Trae. Urban Network will also be hosting a special screening of the Stax Film "Soul Man", starring Bernie Mac and Issac Hayes, with Samuel L. Jackson.
Urban Network CEO Miller London has chosen Houston based Diamax Promotions and Management Corporation, founded by Carletta Shepard, to co-host the event. The company's staff, led by its President Paris Eley, a veteran entertainment and music industry executive, has joined with the distinguished Urban Network team to present a comprehensive and detailed conference focused on networking, careers in Music, Broadcasting, Theatre, Fashion, Film, and the basic "How to be effective" in the music industry.
