On the eve of the release of his new album, We Global, Miami radio personality, label head, and Terror Squad/KOCH Records recording artist DJ Khaled has been nominated for a whopping 5 BET Hip Hop Awards!!!  The nominations are for: Best Hip Hop Collabo; DJ of the Year; MVP of the Year, Hustla of the Year and Best Hip Hop Video.

 

The BET Hip Hop Awards will take place on October 18th, and will air on Thursday, October 23rd.

 

We Global, DJ Khaled’s new album which includes the smash singles “Out Here Grindin’” and “Go Hard,” will be in stores tomorrow, September 16th, 2008.

Khaled’s last album, 2007’s We The Best, debuted at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 and has sold over 400,000 copies on the strength the album’s two huge hits, “We Takin’ Over,” “I’m So Hood” and the latter track’s massive Remix.

 

Khaled is also closing in on 3 million combined Digital/Mobile units on the strength of “I’m So Hood,” “We Takin’ Over,” and “Out Here Grindin’.”

 

DJ Khaled, who currently has the most popular radio show in Miami (WEDR/99 Jamz), released his debut, Listennn…The Album in 2006, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Independent Chart.  The album spawned 3 singles/videos including “Holla At Me,” “Grammy Family,” and “Born N’ Raised.”
