BOMBAY SAPPHIRE PRESENTS TRACE BLACK GIRLS RULE LAUNCH PARTY
BOMBAY SAPPHIRE spotlighted TRACE Black Girls Rule launch party this week in Manhattan's trendy meatpacking district. This annual issue featured guest editor Spike Lee, who showed up at this blazing, blue carpet event. Singer/song writer Keri Hilson (see attached photo) graces the cover that is proclaiming and reclaiming what those in the industry have come to realize--black girls truly do rule--as demonstrated in Hilson's stylish appearance on the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE blue carpet.
Throngs of paparazzi and glamour seekers showed up to the soiree to see and be seen. Those who were on the elite guest list entertained those who were not, by stopping by the blue carpet, giving fans the wave or smile they were hoping to get a glimpse of. TRACE magazine's chairman and editor-in-chief, Claude Grunitsky, was the "proud papa" of another successful cover party celebration. He and celebrity photographer Marc Baptiste, who is responsible for the imagery in the Black Girls Rule issue, definitely enjoyed themselves with Spike Lee and other special guests including, Homeschool/Atlantic Records UK recording artist Estelle; DJ Clue; BET host Julissa; fashion stylist Kithe Brewster; DJ, Miss Saigon; producer and Universal recording artist Ryan Leslie; DC divas of Weber Shandwick PR agency with a handsome companion; throngs of models; and New York City style divas and dudes.
The models were not the only style icons that made an appearance. The venue was styled iconically, dark, and sexy with BOMBAY blue and cool crystal chandeliers. A VIP pour played with the guests' pallets as they sipped on complimentary, cool beverages such as the Sapphire Collins and the Sapphire Madras; all made with the premium gin--an alternative to the old vodka standards.
