Heineken Red Star Soul takes the stage in Hollywood with a special invitation-only concert headlined by GRAMMYâ Award winner Ashanti and featuring performances by Goapele and DJ Cassidy. The evening will also feature a presentation of the Heineken Independent Achiever Award to heralded producer and songwriter Mark Batson. The award, established in 2006, honors individuals who demonstrate the hustle, integrity and drive to succeed while inspiring others along the way. “The Heineken Independent Achiever Award celebrates the talents of gifted established and rising stars who have shown dedication, desire and hustle in achieving their success,” said Shane Hoyne, Senior Brand Director, Heineken Lager for Heineken USA. “Mark Batson is deserving of recognition for his unquestionable influence in soul music and beyond and we are honored to celebrate and recognize the contributions he has made around the world.”
