Yo! News: Nas Drops First Single, Album Pushed Back

With new material from his upcoming album recently leaked, Nas is ready to release his highly anticipated project "N*gger".

Although most media outlets had reported that his controversial album will be released in April, his rep said that the project will hit stores in July. The album title "N *gger" caused a lot of controversy from political activist but it seems that Nas is contempt with the name of the album and has no plans on changing the title.

The Que ensbridge MC recently leaked the first track "Be A N*gger Too" and Hip-Hop websites and Bloggers went crazy. Nas begins with "You are now allowed to listen to the radio, real niggers are back (on the radio)" and continues on the chorus "I'm a n*gger, he's a n*gger, she's n*gger, we some n*ggers/ wouldn't you like to be a n*gger too/ They like to strangle n*ggers, blame a n*gger, shootin' n*ggers, hangin' n*ggers/ still you wanna be a n*gger too... true."

On the Salaam Remi-produced track, Nas uses the dreaded "N-Word" repeatedly to get his point across. With lyrics like, "Not mad cause Eminem said N*gger/ Cause he’s my N*gger/ Wigger/ Cracker friend/ We all black within/ We all African within/ Some African’s don’t like us no way/ A killin happened in Johannesburg yesterday," Nas makes reference to Eminem using the "N-Word".
