J-LP is a young, hip hop artist from Chicago on the verge of greatness. He is the epitome of an ambitious recording artist.  J-LP has always loved hip hop and he decided to dedicate his life to his dream by establishing his own production company in 2000, Grip Tight Entertainment.  He has released mix tapes and CDs consistently for every year since 2002.  He is currently working on a new CD with DJ Smallz which will be the first edition of the a series of projects combining the hit making recipes of southern style bangers mixed with Midwest ingenuity, entitled, Midwest Smoke.
