Three Tier Entertainment, a Los Angeles based management and production company owned by former NBA star and current ESPN correspondent Jalen Rose, announced today the national tour of the stage play, “Mary & Joseph” beginning March 7th in Macon, GA.  “Mary & Joseph” is a romantic comedy and faith based retelling of the biblical characters directed and co-written by Ed Weinberger, creator of “Taxi” and “The Cosby Show.”  Coined as “The Greatest Love Story Ever Told,” the play stars Tatyana Ali (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Richard Roundtree (Shaft), Comedian Guy Torrey, R&B Singer Tank, Miguel A. Nunez Jr. (Juwanna Man), Anna Maria Horsford (Amen) and Tony® Nominated Actor Clifton Davis.  Jalen Rose will serve as Executive Producer.

 

 “Mary & Joseph” is an interpretation of what may have occurred when Mary (one of Nazarene’s oldest virgins) informs her fiancée of seven years of her Immaculate Conception.  Joseph is having an extremely difficult time accepting this revelation.  However, it pales in comparison to the hilarious reactions of Mary’s mother, Anne, who has little faith and no belief in her daughter’s Immaculate Conception theory. 

 

With stops in Washington DC, Detroit, Philadelphia and New York City, the tour is sure to gain wide recognition and acceptance among families and audiences of all ages and backgrounds, touching on morals and values everyone can enjoy.
