Ellia English Does it Again with Memorable Role In Will Ferrell's Semi Pro
Singer/Actress Ellia English continues to pad her acting resume with memorable comedic roles with some of today's greatest comic talents. From her work on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm with Larry David to her outrageous shenanigans with Dane Cook in Good Luck Chuck to her current onscreen role in Will Ferrell's Semi-Pro, Ellia is on a roll.
Semi-Pro, a New Line Cinema feature film comedy starring Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson and Andre Benjamin will be released nationwide, Friday, February 29. Ellia portrays Andre Benjamin's mother in the film, which is set in 1976 against the backdrop of the maverick ABA - a fast-paced, wild and crazy professional basketball league that rivaled the NBA and made a name for itself with innovations like the three point shot and slam dunk contest.
Ellia continues her roll as a must have comedic actress with another plum role in the upcoming Charlie Murphy comedy The Hustle, now in post production and scheduled for a June release.
