(Philadelphia, PA) January 24, 2008 — The tremendous success in 2007 of the prolific Philadelphia songwriting and production company KARMA PRODUCTIONS was recently recognized with three Grammy Awards nominations for their work with Musiq Soulchild. The multi-talented production duo, led by Ivan Barias & Carvin Haggins, will attend the 50th Annual Grammy Awards on February 10th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with high hopes of taking home their first Grammy.
KARMA PRODUCTIONS, whose impressive list of credits includes songs for Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Jill Scott, Jaheim, Anthony Hamilton, Mario, Faith Evans, and Brian McKnight (see link to discography below,) are nominated for Best R&B Song for Musiq Soulchild’s “Teach Me,” and co-wrote and produced his hit “B.U.D.D.Y.” which is up for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. They also served as executive producers of Musiq Soulchild’s certified gold CD Luvanmusiq, which is nominated for Best R&B Album.
