SYBARITE PRODUCTIONS & SCION PRESENT: "RE-LIVING VOLUPTUOUS LIVING"

This winter Scion is collaborating with non-profit organization, Sybarite Productions Dance Company, to put on an exciting event merging the remarkable worlds of fashion, automobiles, and dance. This event will reveal the truly inventive and spirited side of urban dance performance and offer an opportunity to see artists on the rise.

Re-living Voluptuous Living will showcase the talents of the urban dancers that Sybarite Productions mentors and represents. The event will take place at Spotlight on February 6th and features ten independently choreographed pieces in conjunction with established urban fashion designers. Each group of dancers will be styled in a different clothing brand while performing mind-blowing dance routines of hip hop, house, dance hall, and breakdancing. Designers showcasing their collections include Brooklyn Xpress, Brooklyn Industries, Mecca and Scion Release.

Sybarite Productions is a non-profit mentorship program geared toward building the resumes, skills, and industry savvy of young people in the urban professional dance arena, as well as offering community dance workshops and lectures. Members of the Sybarite dance troupes have performed alongside famous artists including Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dog, Missy Elliot and Sean Paul to name a few. They've also have worked with the leading dancers and choreographers of the urban dance world such as Tanisha Scott, Eric Negron, Rockafella, Kwikstep, Link, and Voodo Ray. The Sybarite dancers have displayed their skills at the House of Blues, BB Kings, Latin Quarters and Madison Square Garden. Now they are bringing it back to New York with Re-Living Voluptuous Living for Spotlight. This event brings together vehicles, dance and fashion under one forward-thinking brand.

“We are very excited to work with Scion, giving our emerging dancers the opportunity to perform on this platform. The objective of Re-Living Voluptuous Living is to raise money for the opening of the Sybarite Productions Artist Development School as well as present Sybarite Productions New York Dance Division to urban music, fashion industry professionals, and opinion leaders. We also look forward to having fashion designers view the innovation of utilizing dancers and dance performances to display their clothing and accessories on a bigger level.” says Dinna Alexanyan, CEO of Sybarite Productions.

Please join us for the “‘Re-living Voluptuous Living” event that will take place in New York on February 6th, 2008 at Spotlight located at 1604 Broadway in Times Square. Doors will open at 9:00 pm. The event will begin at 9:30 pm.
