An Open Letter to the Democratic Presidential Hopefuls
Hey Democratic presidential nominees. As I see it, because of President Bush’s low approval ratings, the failed and much talked about war and the fact that America wants and needs change, the likelihood of the next President of The United States being a Republican is very low. The Democrats are ahead and you all are messing it up by going at each other and specifically, Hillary Clinton. Yes, I do understand that you all want to obtain the job and will do so at all costs, but you also have to be smarter by not giving the opposing party ammunition to use against you all when the general election is here.
Instead of attacking, why not stress why you are the better choice as opposed to showcasing your opponents’ shortcomings? Why not display the positive attributes that we may like and appreciate by electing you instead of your opponents? Be smart and let us, the American people know why you are the better choice over any of the Republican candidates? Why do you have to constantly showboat when it does nothing but make you look foolish? And do you think we, as an audience, are dumb enough to not know what’s going on? And playing pile up on the leading candidate may make sense in the short run, but don’t you think that the two strongest candidates can make an even stronger democratic presidential ticket?
Don’t let the Democrats lose the election based on our own blindness; let’s win this based on us being the stronger party! Whatever policies and theories you may have that would be beneficial to the country should be displayed and talked about. I don’t care who said what when so and so did this. I care about what direction you are going to take this country. My opinion should be based on who the best candidate is, not on the elimination of who would be the worst. Take heed and lead us the way we need to be led!
