Random Thoughts of the day: OJ Simpson, Isiah Thomas, 50 Cent and AllHipHop

So, OJ Simpson is back in the news and in legal hot water again! I could simply state that this is kharma for the murders of his ex-wife and her friend. Despite whether he actually killed them, he is a fool to not leave well enough alone. Writing the book seemed to be a bad idea and I don't think it is a coincidence that after the book is officially released, this incident takes place in Vegas. He knows that the general public dislikes him because they feel he got away with murder so he should have just stayed low in Florida and raised his two children, but no, he has to be ignorant and jeopardize his freedom for the name of arrogance. On the low, I think his boy set him up and that's why he not only recorded the exchange, but released it to tmz.com as well as the press. Coincidence?

Isiah Thomas is and has always been arrogant and self-centered (at least in public view) so it comes as to no surprise that he is coming off as such in the testimony of Anucha Browne Sanders in her sexual harrassment suit against the Knicks. His own words and actions are going to bite him, the Knicks and Madison Square Garden in the ass once the verdict is announced. Ignorance always finds its way back in a situation like this! And let's not forget about dumb ass Stephon Marbury. It seems that any time he speaks in a public forum, he looks dumber and dumber.

And let's talk abut 50 Cent! He is sounding more like the bitchy, whiny Kanye West as of late. Instead of taking his defeat like a man, he is starting to bitch like Kanye does whenever Kanye doesn't win an award. Face it, 50, you had a great plan but it worked against you this time. If you are noticing trends, positive rap is making a strong comeback in terms of sales. Witness Common debuting at Number 1 his first week out and after that, Talib Kweli charting at number 2 when his album debuted. Maybe the audience is getting sick of the arrogance of hardcore rappers and the lyrics and giving the 'good feel' Hip Hop the shine it rightfully derves! Either way, both acts are going platinum, which is great for Hip Hop considering last year that only T.I. and Jay-Z hit the platinum mark!

Props to Jigsaw and Grouchy Greg of AllHipHop.com for their AllHipHop week. Despite having to wait outside the fashion show for more than 20 minutes and getting passed by by people who have only been in the industry for a total of 10 minutes and having done nothing and then when I get inside, after RSVPing with the publicist, TWICE, I was told my name wasn't on ANY of the three lists that was at the desk, then having to wait another 6 minutes looking like I don't belong there and only after one of the ladies summoning Tammy Brook (FYI Media) and telling her that I claimed that she let me in, was I allowed to enter the premises to see many people who haven't put in the time or effort I have over the course of 20 years....  wait, I am starting to ramble.....  As I stated before, props to Jigsaw and Grouchy Greg...... Oh, what time DID the fashion show actually start? I left an hour and 45 minutes after it was supposed to start!
